Developing with a Passion while
exploring the world
Hi, I’m Amanda! I was born and raised in the greater Seattle Washington area but have since moved to Denver, CO after graduation.
I knew growing up I always had a passion for anything where I could be creative, I get that from my mom. When I started off at Western Washington University, I talked with my family and they encouraged me to try marketing as, in their words, “marketing is the creative side of business”. During my time in undergrad, I truly found my marketing passion when I took a digital marketing class and an intergraded marketing class. Both these classes offered me real-world experiences to give me a glimpse into what could be my future.
While in undergrad I also completed a minor in user experience design, which in my opinion goes hand in hand with marketing. My experience with this minor is what inspired me to look at higher education. This is why I am now a Grad student at the University of Denver getting my master’s in communication management with an emphasis in user experience strategy.
Current Position:
Currently, I am a Marketing Intern for the Colorado Avalanche. My role consists of (but not limited to):
Support the execution of marketing and branding activities
Manage community engagement and outreach
Fan experience on game days
Manage Avalanche premium item inventory and operational documents
Implement Avalanche guidelines, establishing connectivity and elevate the brands marketing to a higher level
